Sections of Old Harbour Road in St Catherine were rendered impassable last night following a three-vehicle collision.

The accident that occurred about 8 o'clock involved a Nissan Tiida and two Toyota motor cars.

Police personnel who were on the scene were unable to give a detail account as to what may have caused the crash. However, they told The Star that an occupant of one the vehicles is believed to have succumbed to injuries received in the accident.

Meanwhile, other persons involved in the accident were rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital to seek medical attention.

Although there were no official reports, persons claiming to have witnessed the accident said that speeding was a contributing factor. All vehicles involved in the crash were extensively damaged.
