As of this week, Supreme Ventures Limited has extended the sale period for the Super Lotto game. The game's new pool closure time is 8:20 p.m., shifting from 7:50 p.m.
In addition, the Super Lotto draw will now take place live in Jamaica at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, moving from the Dominican Republic, where it has been since the game started in 2009.
Commenting on the latest developments, Sonia Davidson, vice-president of Group Corporate Communications at Supreme Ventures, said: "Super Lotto has created thousands of super-millionaires and as more persons catch wind of this, they are playing the game. We had to move the pool closure time to later in the night, in order to give players more time after work to get their wagers in the pool."
Super Lotto is a multi-jurisdictional game that currently spans nine countries worldwide. Sales from these participating jurisdictions fund the advertised jackpot. Winnings are paid out after all applicable taxes are paid in each of the participating countries.
