A St Catherine man accused of breaking into a woman's house and stealing items, including two vibrators, was remanded in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

He is Ricardo Knowles from Portmore.

When the matter came up for mention in court, there was suppressed laughter by persons attending the sitting.

After the allegations were read in court, Resident Magistrate Ann-marie Nembhard ordered that the accused man be remanded until June 18, when the matter will be tried.

Stolen items

The court heard that on three occasions since January, the accused broke into the complainant's house and stole items of clothing, including panties, perfume, pillow cases and other personal effects.

It was also revealed that the man had mentioned to the complainant before that he had an undying admiration for her and would stop at nothing to get to her.

Things took a turn for the worse in early April when he broke in and stole two vibrators and left a note under the pillow of the complainant.

She took the note to the police and compared the writing with an earlier one that he had written to her expressing his admiration.

An investigation was launched which resulted in the accused man being charged with housebreaking and larceny.
