Neville Lewis, the man who is accused of killing the 84-year-old newspaper vendor in downtown Kingston last year was again remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
Lewis who had confessed that a 'spirit' entered his body and caused him to kill the elderly woman is to return to court on June 5, for a preliminary hearing.
A psychiatric evaluation done on Lewis had indicated that he is fit to plea.
Dead is Sylvia Sewell, from Hanna Town, Kingston. She was attacked on May 30, at the intersection of Beckford and Orange streets.
Allegations are that the elderly newspaper vendor was hacked to death by Lewis believed to be of unsound mind after he allegedly asked her for money and she refused.
The accused was reportedly set upon by an angry mob, but was rescued by private security personnel.
Sewell had sold The Gleaner and THE STAR for more than 30 years.
