Alleged car thief remanded

Winston Grey, charged with larceny of motor vehicle and receiving stolen property, was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday for his alleged involvement in a motor-vehicle theft.

The Crown alleges that on May 29, last year, the complainant parked his car in downtown Kingston, where it was stolen.

He subsequently engaged the vehicle's tracking device and Grey was found with the car. Three keys were also found. Two could open the doors the other could start the vehicle.

Grey told police he was told to work on the car by a man. He, however, didn't know where the man was. He returns on May 1.
