Man accused of stalking charged
A man who has been accused of stalking a 29-year-old woman after she refused to sleep with him was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magis-trate's last Thursday.
He is Dale Stavrose, 48, from Kingston 6, who has been charged with extortion.
Stavrose is to return to court on May 2.
Allegations are that the complainant met the accused in 2004; while she was employed at a store in Kingston and during conver-sations he convinced her he could assist with her modelling interest.
The court heard that Stavrose made sexual advances at the female complainant, and when she refused he started distributing nude photographs of her and started visiting her place of work.
It was also reported that since the start of the year, the accused started threatening to release nude pictures if she didn't pay him money or have his child.
