Two Jamaicans nabbed in St Kitts and Nevis

News reports out of St Kitts and Nevis say a man wanted for murder and two Jamaicans attempting to smuggle him out of Nevis have been apprehended and taken into police custody.

According to the West Indian News Network (WINN), Alexander Diaz, a national of the Dominican Republic, who was wanted for the murder of Cesar 'Pabel' Santana, and two Jamaicans, who were allegedly trying to smuggle him off the island, via a fishing boat to St Maarten, were picked up Sunday night by police.

Several rounds of ammunition were also discharged during the operation as the vessel and its occupants managed to elude the authorities.

It is expected that charges will be laid against Diaz and the two Jamaicans, whose names were not released.

Santana, a well-known barber, died after he was stabbed in the back. The knife is said to have broken off in his back during the attack.
