The Spanish Town police are probing a case of suspected suicide, after the body of a 17-year-old girl was discovered in the Rio Cobre River in St Catherine.
Stacy-Ann Burrell of Kennedy Lane, Gordon Pen, Spanish Town, St Catherine, is suspected to have committed suicide in the parish last Saturday.
According to reports from the Spanish Town police, shortly before 10 a.m., the cops were summoned to the Rio Cobre River where Burrell's body was discovered on its back.
The scene was processed and the body removed to the morgue for post-mortem.
Investigations are reportedly continuing into this incident.
