Adistrict constable attached to Morant Bay Police Station was arrested and charged yesterday following a recent ruling by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
He is 24-year-old Phillip Thomas, who has been charged for breaches of the Sexual Offences Act.
He appeared before the Morant Bay Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday, where he was granted bail and was ordered to surrender his travel documents and a stop order issued.
Thomas is scheduled to reappear in court on March 11.
