It is reported that about 12:30 p.m., Samuels' lifeless body was discovered by his father hanging from the tree. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Samuels' father told THE WEEKEND STAR that Romaine and his girlfriend broke up last December and his son took it very hard. He said Romaine would still call and pine over her.

He said on Sunday, his son asked him about women and relationships.

"He asked, 'Daddy, if you were ever in love with a woman and you and her break up, when you break up, would you sit down at daytime and consider some of the things you and her use to do?' I told him all the while, but that he was young and shouldn't be considering those things," the father recalled.

He said he thought Romaine had gone to a friend who was supposed to get him work but instead found him under the tree with a rope tied around his neck.
