Passenger injured in JUTC bus collision with median

A female passenger sustained injuries when a Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus she was travelling in collided with a median on a section of the Portmore leg of Highway 2000 in St Catherine yesterday.


According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), lawmen were called to a section of the toll road in Portmore, St Catherine at approximately 8 a.m. to investigate.


Following the incident, it is reported that the injured woman was taken to hospital by the JUTC bus driver. THE STAR understands that there were no significant damages, nor were other injuries reported.


Up to press time, THE STAR was unable to ascertain the condition of the woman injured.
