Ex-cop to face court for alleged murder threat

GEORGE HENRY, STAR Writer

An ex-policeman from Clarendon will appear in court today to answer to a charge of threatening to murder a woman in his community.

He is 60-year-old Ralston Ingram of Aenon Town in that parish.

According to police report, a warrant was issued by the court for Ingram's arrest to answer to allegation of a threat to commit murder.

The police reported that a raid was organised and conducted at his premises on Saturday, with a view to recover an illegal firearm, after intelligence suggested that he had one.

After the search, the weapon was not found, but Ingram was arrested.

Police information is that the ex-cop was dismissed from the Jamaica Constabulary Force some years ago, as he was charged and convicted for corruption-related activities.
