Accused NHT fraudsters arrested

Fraud Squad detectives have arrested and charged a man and a woman alleged to have used forged documents at the National Housing Trust (NHT).

Daron Taylor, an employee at Tax Administration Jamaica, who lives on Fiji Close, Magil Palms, St Catherine, and Shaneka DeLeon, otherwise called 'Chelsea McKoy', a sales clerk of Nannyville, Kingston 3, were arrested on Monday.

The police said Taylor and DeLeon were conducting a transaction at the NHT's Central Village, St Catherine offices, when the loans officer discovered discrepancies with the photograph and the person who was there purporting to be Chelsea McKoy.

The police were alerted and the two later arrested and charged. Taylor and DeLeon are scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court today.
