Music producer Anju Blaxx of Up-tempo International Music (UIM) records, has become the victim of an unscrupulous act of persons or a person profiting off his name through social networking site, Facebook.
Blaxx explained that it started in the summer of last year, when his friends started telling him that there was an individual soliciting call credit in his likeness on the social network site.
Many attempts have been made by Blaxx to flag the page but to no avail as the page still remains.
Blaxx said last week he received a phone call from an individual who stated that he had sent thousands of dollars through Western Union for a music project.
"Someone sent almost US$2,500 to that person using the Facebook account in order to voice on a rhythm," Blaxx said.

However, the person sending the money, had not received a confirmation from Blaxx on receipt of the funds or any word on the the project.
Blaxx maintained that he does not have an actual Anju Blaxx Facebook page but rather a fan page under the UIM Facebook page and that he doesn't use that social networking site to conduct business. He said he does not use the e-mail address given by the sender, to transact business.
"To those looking to do business, I want to apologise for the inconvenience of that fake Facebook profile," Blaxx said.
In the meantime, Blaxx has released and is working on a number of projects. "On April 22 or 23, I released a rhythm called Punjabi rhythm.
"I have artistes like Mavado, Popcaan, Tommy Lee, Spice, Black Diamond, Alkaline, Konshens and more. I also premiered the Tommy Lee video for that rhythm on YouTube on Monday. I also did a single with Blak Diamond called Bang Bang, which was released mid-February," he said.
