The matter involving three men who have been charged in an alleged stolen motor vehicle ring was again mentioned in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Charged with larceny of motor vehicle and receiving stolen property is 45-year-old Donald Elliott, 26-year-old Omali Wright, and Christopher Williams also 26-year-old.

Their bails were extended and the matter has been set for trial on September 4.

The court was informed that Williams is deceased.

It is alleged that on June 5, 2013, a Toyota Hiace motor truck that was reported stolen, was recovered from an open lot where the accused men were also found.

The men were subsequently arrested.

Allegations are that the accused men are part of a gang that operate a stolen motor-vehicle ring in the St Andrew South Police Division. It is reported that the revenue of theft and sale of the stolen vehicles is used to finance firearms and ammunition.
