Infidelity is being blamed as the reason for the grisly murder of a woman at the intersection of John's Lane and North Street in Kingston, yesterday morning.

Witnesses say sometime after 9, 32-year-old Kadian Oshane from Penwood Road, St Andrew, was reportedly approached by a 42 year-old man with whom she had a relationship. It is said that the man placed his arms around the woman and forcibly led her into an open area. She was stabbed repeatedly in her neck as her shrills of murder filled the air.

The witnesses say he left the woman for dead along with a kitchen knife, which was recovered by the police. They further claimed he attempted to end his life by jumping into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

He was later set upon by angry residents but was rescued by the police and taken to hospital, where he was treated and released in police custody. It is expected that he will be charged with murder.

Motorists allegedly refused to take the woman to hospital as blood flowed from her wounds. A passing ambulance took her to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

A police officer at the Kingston Central Police Station said initial investigations discovered that the man believed the woman was being unfaithful, resulting in the stabbing.
