A man who is accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, was sentenced to 10 days in prison when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.
Pleading guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm is 22-year-old Jamar Walford of a Bond Street, Kingston, address.
According, to reports, Walford and his ex-girlfriend, the complainant, were engaged in an argument about their relationship when he allegedly slapped her in the face then proceeded to use his knee to kick her in the chest.
Resident Magistrate Opal Smith, upon hearing the allegations, stated, "I don't want to hear nothing more, 10 days."
