Unidentified corpse found


The police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the body of a man believed to be in its mid-20s, that was found lying face down in a pool of blood on March Pen Road, Spanish Town, St Catherine, last Saturday.


It was clad in a brown-and-white striped Polo shirt, blue jeans pants, a brown hat and a pair of black shoes. It is of brown complexion; has a tattoo of a flower and stars on the left hand and is about 157 centimetres (5 feet 2 inches) long.


Reports from the Spanish Town police are that about 11:45 p.m., police, who were on patrol in the area, heard explosions and went to investigate.


It was at that time that the body was discovered. The scene was processed and the body was sent to the morgue.


The police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist in identifying the body to contact the Spanish Town police at 984-2305, police 119 emergency number, or the nearest police station.
