The German Shepherd Club of Jamaica dog show set for Sunday

As part of its 40th anniversary celebrations, The German Shepherd Club of Jamaica will be staging a Championship Breed dog show and Obedience trial on Sunday at the Jamaica Hockey Federation, Mona Road, St Andrew.

The event, to run from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., is sponsored by Purina Brand dog foods, Heroi Dog foods, Hi-Pro Ace Garden store and Lasco Distributors.

The event will be judged by breed specialist judge, Neil Dodds, who visits all the way from the United Kingdom.

The quality of German Shepherds in Jamaica has come a far way. The island can now boast some of the world's top bloodlines from Germany and the UK along with top German shepherds who are competitive worldwide. The locally bred German Shepherd dogs portray excellent working, protection and show ability, a true testimony of 'Utility and Intelligence'.

Potential new champions will be crowned at this event and established champions will compete against each other for top prizes in both Conformation and Obedience championships. The event promises to be a fulfilling event for the whole family as this is an opportunity for the public to see Jamaica's top German Shepherds in competition.
