The police have commenced a probe into the circumstances surrounding the death of 14-year-old Joel Lovelace of Bedward Gardens in August Town, St Andrew.
Lovelace was found with gunshot wounds in his community in the aftermath of a confrontation between criminals and the police about 7:30 p.m. on Monday. He was pronounced dead at hospital.
The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is also investigating.
