Seven prison escapees at large


The St Catherine South police are seeking the public's assistance in recapturing seven prisoners who remain on the run after escaping from the Portmore Police lock-up yesterday.


Information received is that about 4 a.m., a check of the facility was done and nine prisoners were missing from their respective cells. Two have since been recaptured.


Still on the run are:


1) Twenty-year-old Travis Perry, otherwise called Junior, of Darlington Drive, Old Harbour, St Catherine. He is charged with murder, robbery with aggravation and breaches of the Child Care and Protection Act.


2) Forty-two-year-old Paul Hendricks, otherwise called Sevens, of Washington Mews, Portmore Gardens. He is charged with two counts of murder.


3) Twenty-six-year-old Alton Maxwell, otherwise called Putty Wet, of Manley Lane, Newland in Portmore, St Catherine. He is charged with murder and shooting.


4) Twenty-year-old Kidane Higgins, of Westchester in Portmore, St Catherine. He is charged with murder.


5) Twenty-one-year-old Davian O'Sullivan, otherwise called Beenie Man, of Labourer Way in Old Harbour, St Catherine. He is charged with three counts of murder, robbery with aggravation and illegal possession of firearm.


6) Twenty-two-year-old Kelroy Millwood, otherwise called Chris, of Maiden Lane and Queen Street in Kingston and Stokes Hall, St Thomas. He is slim built and about 172 centimetres (5ft 8 inches) tall, dark complexion, brown eyes, black hair, thick lips and unkempt hair.


He is charged with shooting and robbery with aggravation.


7) Twenty-six-year-old Kevin Lawrence, otherwise called Kitty Paw, of Pieces Close, Watson Grove, Gregory Park. He is charged with murder, shooting and illegal possession of firearm.


Anyone with information that can lead to the capture of these men is being asked to contact the Portmore police at 949-8422, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.


The police are also appealing to residents not to give safe haven to these men, as it is an offence to harbour criminals.
