A man accused of sticking up a woman and stealing money from her was remanded when he appeared before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday.

Charged for robbery with violence is Damain Beckford. The Crown led evidence that the accused allegedly stole $2,000 from the female complainant at the time of the robbery.

He was subsequently arrested. In court, the accused appeared remorseful.

"Your Honour, I didn't use any violence. I'm so so sorry, Your Honour," Beckford said.

Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey ordered Beckford remanded until April 9 pending sentencing.
