Ophthalmologist and co-accused get bail extension

The case involving an ophthalmologist, who is charged along with three other persons, is expected to go to trial in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on June 9-11.

However, the matter will be mentioned on April 8. The men had their bails extended in court on Wednesday.

Information technologist Christopher Moore has been charged with several counts of unauthorised interception of computer function or service, unauthorised access to computer function or service, unauthorised modification of computer programme or data and cheating the public revenue.

Accountant Christopher Wilson, auditor David Johnson and the opthalmologist, Dr William Lee, are also charged with cheating the public revenue.

The Crown alleges that the three men cheated the public revenue of millions of dollars.

It is expected that when the matter returns to court, the attorneys in the case will be served with all the necessary documents.
