Woman on assault rap to know fate April 7

A woman who threw a bottle and hit her brother because he attacked her with a machete will know her fate on April 7 as the medical report in the matter was outstanding.

Yesterday, when the matter was called up in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court, the accused, Denise Morrison, told the court that she hit her brother because he attacked her with a machete.

The court heard that on the day in question, the two had a physical confrontation, resulting in the brother nursing injuries.

Morrison told the court, "Mi fling the bottle and lick him because him a run me down wid machete after him first fling the bottle, and I took it up ... I was standing around a corner, and as him come wid the machete, mi swing the bottle."

A fingerprint order was also made against Morrison.
