Head of the St Catherine North police Senior Superintendent, Marlon Nesbeth, said the lawmen under his charge will capture those wanted in the parish.

"We'll catch them. We are resolute and committed to take the fight to crime," Nesbeth told councillors during the monthly general council meeting of the St Catherine Parish Council last Thursday.

The commanding officer said he delivered when he promised to catch Michael 'Tulus' Morgan, so all other gangsters should take heed.

The division has seen a spike in murders with 28 so far this year, compared to 12 over the corresponding period last year. So far, 12 murders have been cleared up and a number of wanted persons taken into custody.

Nesbeth says so far 14 illegal guns along with more than 100 rounds of ammunition have been seized this year.

Imploring the local government representatives to assist in fighting crime, he told them that if any of the wanted men or persons of interest are known to them, it is their duty to encourage them to go to the police.
