The Linstead police in St Catherine said they have made a breakthrough in a murder in the area last week.
The body of Samuel Blake, otherwise called Sammy, a 53-year-old farmer of Victoria district, Linstead, St Catherine, who was killed in the community underwent a post-mortem which revealed that he died from a deep wound to his upper body.
It has been revealed that one of two suspects is expected to be charged with murder.
He is yet to be interviewed in the presence of his attorney.
Reports are that last Wednesday, November 12, Blake's relatives made a report to the police. An investigation was launched, which led a police party to the remote hills of Wakefield Savannah in St Catherine.
A search was conducted and Blake's body was found in what appeared to be a coal kiln.
Detective Sergeant Oral Israel of the Linstead police is conducting investigations into the matter.
