A 44-year-old woman and her two sons were brutally shot and killed in a brazen early-morning gun attack in the Bailey's Avenue area of Bucknor, May Pen, Clarendon, just after 7 am yesterday morning.

The incident has left the community and a school one of the boys attends in shock.

Dead are Kareen Brown (mother) and brothers, 21-year-old Sean Mitchell and 17-year-old Shavian Mitchell, a student of Central High School.

According to police reports, all three family members were killed when men, armed with guns, went to their Bailey Avenue home, kicked a door down and opened fire on the occupants.

A vice-principal at Central High told the news team that the brazen triple murder has left the school's community, especially the 17-year-old 11C class in shock, and the educational institution has already dispatched counsellors to talk to the students.
