Man shot and killed in Clarendon

A man was shot and killed outside his home in the parish of Clarendon on Sunday.

The identity of the deceased has not been released as the police are still searching for motives behind the shooting.

According to investigators, the incident occurred in Havana Heights, about 11:30 p.m.

Reports are that residents heard explosions and summoned the police.

THE STAR gathered that the deceased man was allegedly called outside his house.

There have been several murders in the parish in recent days. Just last week, gunmen shot and killed a mother and her two sons in their house.

Superintendent Carol McKenzie, head of operations in Clarendon, says the police are concerned about the increase in violence and are taking the necessary steps to stem the problem.
