A bail application for Portland resident Michael Geddes, charged with the double murder of brothers Herman and Norman Rowe in Rolandsfield, St Thomas, has been delayed until today.
Geddes appeared in the Morant Bay Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday where the presiding magistrate said she wanted more time to review the case file.
Geddes was charged on June 17 after an identification parade,
Allegations against Geddes are that he was involved in a dispute with the deceased brothers and was sued. The police theorised that the dispute may have been the motive for the double murder.
On July 8, last year, the remote farming community was left in shock after the brothers were found on their farm in the John Crow Mountains shot dead.
The brothers left their home in Rolandsfield early, but did not return as expected.
A post-mortem examination later revealed that the brothers were shot and killed with a 9mm pistol.
