A man accused of assaulting his babymother, was ordered remanded when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
Charged with assault occasioning bodily harm is Jason Gaynor, who pleaded not guilty.
"Who is that man to you?" asked Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey, directing her attention to the complainant.
"He is the father of my baby." she replied.
The court heard that on the day in question, Gaynor and the complainant got into an argument resulting in Gaynor hitting her on her arm, squeezing her throat, later smashing her cellular phone.
Subsequently, Gaynor was ordered remanded until June 13 pending an outstanding medical report.
