Chinese national robbed of cash and mobile phone

A woman and two gunmen who pulled off a daring daylight robbery on Langston Road, Kingston, are being sought by the police, while the owner of a wholesale establishment is nursing wounds to her face from a gun beating, The Starhas learnt.


The incident unfolded on Saturday afternoon, when a female entered the business place posing as a customer who wanted to purchase a fan.


It is reported that after the woman told the operator of the wholesale that she wanted to purchase the fan, she then asked if she could see the product.


Further reports are that when the business operator opened her grille to show the woman the fan, two gunmen ran behind the business counter, where they ransacked the wholesale and beat the owner with their weapons.


The Star also learnt that the wholesale operator, who is a Chinese national, was beaten in the face with guns.


A total of $70,000 was stolen along with a mobile phone.


The Kingston Eastern police are investigating the incident.
