Cops seek help finding robbers


Police are appealing for help as they probe a million-dollar robbery which occurred in Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth on Monday.


A store clerk was robbed at gunpoint of J$1.2 million, the police said. The daring daylight hold-up happened about midday.


According to the Santa Cruz police, the man was about to lodge the money at a bank in the town when a gunman approached him on foot, robbed him and escaped in a grey Toyota motor car.


The Santa Cruz police say they are appealing to anyone who may have information that can assist them in apprehending the culprit to call them at 966-2289, police 119 emergency, or the nearest police station.
