A bank employee was brought before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday after it was unearthed that he stole from a customer's account and accessed the bank's computer data.
Charged with unauthorised access to computer data and simple larceny is Andrew Fletcher.
He pleaded not guilty to both charges.
The court heard that on more than one occasion Fletcher accessed the National Commercial Bank account and stole in excess of $141,931.51.
The court was also told that the Crown had photographed evidence of the date and time the money was removed.
When Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey analysed the photo evidence she said, "Yes man a you this ... look at it carefully, the mouth and nose can't hide."
Fletcher was then given a chance to look at the photograph. He said, "Your honour that's not me. All the while I go around people tell me I favour people."
RM Pusey acknowledge what was said and told the accused, "yes that may be true but not in this case, it's you man."
Trial in the matter was set for August 5. Fletcher was further remanded.
