The Morant Bay police seized 40 pounds (18.14 kilograms) of ganja on the Stokes Hall main road in St Thomas on Sunday.
Information received is that about 6:30 p.m., lawmen were on patrol in the area when they observed two motor vehicles parked along the road. On approach of the officers, two occupants of one of the vehicles allegedly ran. Two others were apprehended.

During a subsequent search, 40 pounds of ganja was found in one of the motor vehicles and $297,000 was found on one of the occupants.
Both individuals were taken into police custody, however, their identities are being withheld at this time.
