Allegations of moles-tation appear to be at the centre of the incident that left an 18-year-old strangled and his body dumped on a garbage heap near the Blood Bank on Slipe Pen Road, St Andrew, on Tuesday morning.

Dead is David Wilson from Paisley Avenue, which is also off Slipe Pen Road.

According to Senior Superintendent Steve McGregor, head of the West Kingston police, Wilson went to confront a teenager who was allegedly involved in molesting his sister after she had sustained injuries from a car accident that left her incapacitated.

"He learned that one of the boys might have molested her so he went in search, and it turned out that he and some guys had an altercation and they strangled him," McGregor said.

He pointed out that a number of males were taken into custody in relation to the incident.

McGregor also said residents of the community mobbed and beat one of them. He suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to hospital.

The men involved are expected to be charged in short order.
