An accused who used a scissors to stab a man, who remains hospitalised, will have to wait a while longer before his fate is decided, after the resident magistrate told him to go on his knees and pray that the complainant lives.
Yesterday, when the matter was called up in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court the accused André Bailey pleaded guilty to the offence and offered the court an explanation.
Bailey is charged with unlawful wounding.
The court was told that Bailey used a pair of scissors to stab the complainant repeatedly.

He remains hospitalised as the nature of his injuries are deemed serious.
The accused told the court, "Your Honour, him lick mi three times wid a board cross mi head ... mi never do him nothing ... mi sit under the 83 bus stop and see him a call to a girl so mi jus a look ... him look pan mi and say hey boy, go suck yuh ... so mi tell him back and tell him say mi suck my mother and get badness."
Bailey also told the court that the complainant went to several persons for a weapon, however, they refused. Then he found a board that he used to hit him across the head.
Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey told Bailey, "Fall on your knees and hope he doesn't die."
A fingerprint order was made against Bailey.
His bail was extended until March 28.
