A babysitter, who begged a judge not send her to prison after she pleaded guilty to forgery, had her bail extended in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.
She is Judith Burrell, 38, of Lawrence Tavern, St Andrew.
Burrell who has been charged with uttering a forged document and conspiracy to defraud, is to return to court on April 17 for sentencing.
Allegations are that on March 18, Burrell visited the office for the Caribbean Examinations Council and tendered result slips for passes in subject areas that she has not taken. The court heard that the police were called in and Burrell was arrested.
Burrell said that she went to the office to pay for her documents and she met a teacher who told her that he could assist her with her certificates.
"I am sorry because I have my family depending on me. I didn't know that it wasn't legitimate," the accused told the court.
Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey has ordered a social-enquiry report on Burrell.
