Infamous juror in Kartel trial charged with bribery


The infamous juror in the Vybz Kartel murder trial who has been charged with bribery has attracted international attention, as news media ap.com, yesterday reported on the issue. The website reported that the juror has been charged with attempted bribery in a high-profile murder trial of top dancehall reggae star Vybz Kartel.


The juror, 50-year-old, football coach Livingston Cain, otherwise called 'Tata', from Stony Hill, St Andrew.


Cain was officially charged by detectives from the Kingston Central Police Division on Saturday.


According to police reports, Cain has been charged with five counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.


He is to appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court tomorrow, March 18.


Cain was arrested at court last Thursday shortly after the 10 to one guilty verdict was handed down.
