Up to late yesterday, police were still unable to say what is behind the sudden death of a father and his son whose bodies were found at their home in St Ann last Thursday.
Investigators said the probe is at a preliminary stage, however, unconfirmed reports are that the two may have died from a suspected case of food poisoning.
Dead are 57-year-old farmer and painter Leslie Parkes and his 24-year-old son Warren Parkes of Mount Zion, St Ann. Reports are that they were last seen alive last Monday night.
unanswered
A family friend, who visited the premises after calls to the cell phone of the elder Parkes went unanswered, discovered both bodies. Our news team understands that there was no sign of violence.
Contacted yesterday, the police said they were awaiting the results of a post-mortem as they continue their investigations. When the autopsy is held, the cops said they will decide which way the investigations will focus.
THE STAR gathered also that another person, with whom the father and son had shared a meal, was taken to hospital by a relative on Wednesday.
