Thirty-year-old Mickloth Hutchinson, a correctional officer of Gore Tuca, Portmore, St Catherine, was arrested and charged with breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act on Thursday.
Reports from the Denham Town police are that about 4:15 p.m. senior officers at the Horizon Correctional Facility in Kingston conducted a search of Hutchinson's motor car, during which four parcels containing ganja were found.
The police were summoned. Hutchinson was taken into custody and he was subsequently charged with possession of ganja, dealing in ganja, and introducing contraband into a penal institution. He is scheduled to appear before the Half-Way Tree Resident Magistrate's Court on Thursday, April 9.
