The Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court is seeking to determine if a man accused of murder, allegedly fatally stabbed a drunk man because he could not give an account of why he was in his yard.
Charged with murder is Jason Fowling. He did not enter a plea when the matter was called up for mention last Friday.
The court was told that a witness to the murder allegedly heard Fowling asking the man, "Weh you a do ina mi yard?"
The court then heard that Fowling used a sharp instrument and began stabbing the man. The witness claimed to have used a bucket to hit at Fowling to deter him from stabbing the man.
An attorney did not represent Fowling, however, he is to be interviewed for legal aid.
He is to return to court on March 25. A fingerprint order was made.
