A Jamaican woman will be spending 18 months in a Barbadian prison after pleading guilty to four counts of drug-related charges in the District B Magistrate's Court last week.
According to www.nationnews.com, Jennifer Taylor, 54, arrived from Jamaica on Monday and police say a search of her luggage revealed a cooler containing two pounds of cannabis.
Allegations are that the accused arrived by air and was interviewed by police before being referred to Customs.
A search was conducted of a box, which was part of her luggage, and seven packages of ganja concealed in a cooler were unearthed.
Taylor was sentenced on charges of possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking, and importation.
