Over J$1M stolen from remittance company in St Ann

The Moneague police in St Ann have launched an investigation into a robbery, which took place at a branch of a remittance agency yesterday morning.


According to an officer at the Moneague Police Station, the remittance company was robbed about 10 a.m.


No one was injured in the incident.


Head of the St Ann police, Senior Superintendent Yvonne Martin-Daley, said the robbery involved approximately three individuals who made off with a little over $1 milllion before escaping in a waiting motor car outside the establishment.


A representative from the company when asked to comment on the robbery declined to do so.
