A Jamaican national living in Louisiana in the United States, who has been implicated in an alleged home invasion recently, is now behind bars, THE STAR has learnt.

Charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated burglary, home invasion and being a felon in possession of a firearm is 21-year-old Jamar Major. He is currently being held without bond at the St Landry Parish Jail in the state.

According to www.dailyworld.com,

Major spent time in hospital in critical condition before police detectives could question him in relation to the matter.

THE STAR gathered that on April 18, Major reportedly suffered two gunshot wounds when he allegedly broke into a trailer belonging to a man he knew.

It is believed that a stand-off between the victim of the break-in and Major resulted in both parties being shot and injured. The victim of the invasion reportedly escaped with non-life threatening injuries.

Subsequently, a warrant was issued for Major, and he was reportedly taken into custody on August 22.
