The Jamaica Fire Brigade is observing Fire Safety Awareness Week this week, for which the focus will be on - 'Community in Action Supporting Fire Prevention'.
The Fire Brigade says the theme is chosen to highlight the importance of community involvement in fire prevention and safety.
The focus will be year long, public relations officer, Emeleo Ebanks, says, adding that it is part of a broad approach to encourage communities to be proactive. He says community members will be trained in prevention and safety methods during the course of the year.
