Body found in Clarendon identified


Police have identified the body of a man who was found chopped to death in Toby Heights, Rose Hall, Clarendon. He was identified on Friday as 46-year-old Denroy White of Oakland Avenue in Passage Fort, Portmore, St Catherine.


White's body was found about 10:15 p.m last Tuesday, October 21, after residents heard a gunshot, investigated and later stumbled on the body. The May Pen police were summoned.


Information reaching THE STAR is that prior to his death, the deceased and two men were involved in an altercation. Police said they were unable to confirm this.


According to the police, up to late yesterday, no one has been held in relation to his death and they are currently conducting further investigations.
