X6 case put off until October 13

The case involving businessman Patrick Powell has been postponed until October 13. Powell is charged with the July 2011 murder of Kingston College student Khajeel Mais.

Mais was shot and killed when a taxi in which he was a passenger was reportedly fired upon in Havendale, St Andrew, by the driver of a BMW X6 motor vehicle.

Powell is accused of shooting at the taxi in a fit of road rage.

His trial, which is expected to be a lengthy one, was postponed earlier today until after the Supreme Court returns from its summer break.
