A funeral director who died suddenly at a hotel in Portmore, St Catherine, last week, is being speculated to have succumbed to the dose of a sexual enhancement drug, THE STAR understands.
Information reaching our news team is that the 40-year-old man, who was visiting from overseas, started complaining of feeling sick to his female companion, soon after he checked into the hotel on Port Henderson Road in the parish.
A source close to the case said that soon after the incident, news started spreading like wildfire on the popular hip strip, more commonly called Back Road, that the man was a user of one of the popular sexual enhancement drugs.
The incident happened last Thursday, sometime after 10 p.m.
Reports from the Bridgeport police are that after the man's female companion went to call for help, she later returned to find his body on the ground.
When asked about the man's death being linked to the use of a sexual enhancement drug, the police told The Star that they are unable to confirm that argument.
However, the cops said that the incident is being treated as a sudden death, as there were no marks of violence seen on his body.
Investigations continue.
