Attorney-at-law Everton Bird is said to be recovering after an armed man shot him at his home in the wee hours of Monday morning.
The incident reportedly happened about 1 a.m.
According to a source, the attorney came out of his vehicle and was heading inside his house, when an armed man approached him and demanded several items.
It is said that the man also demanded to enter his house; however, the attorney would not allow him in. Shots were reportedly fired, hitting Bird.
He was taken to hospital. It is believed that robbery was the motive for the attack. The St Andrew North police have confirmed the incident and said that their investigations are ongoing.
