Mother, daughters ordered to spend time in jail

A mother, her two daughters and a woman were ordered to spend a bit of time together in a cell yesterday at the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate Court.


The elder of the daughters explained to Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey that the complainant was allegedly involved in family matters with her family.


"What is this family matters? Family Matters come pon TV," said RM Pusey


The elder daughter further explained that the complainant and her mother allegedly had a long-standing dispute over a house she was building and "She fight her and cuss har,"


The complainant rebutted with "Your Honour, me and these three ladies weren't friends. They are a misery in the place, a misery. I going to work, dem fass with me. I go school, dem fass with me,"


"Women must live good. You are the mother of these two big girls and you out there a fight people?" RM Pusey asked the mother.


RM Pusey dismissed the case and ordered the four to be held in the female lock-up for a short while so as to get along before being sent home.
